Treasure Hunter (TH) is one of the most dangerous Dagger Classes in Lineage 2. It combines high mobility, evasion and powerful crits, making it a deadly opponent in PvP and PvE. This article is for solo development and pumping, because on Interlude Chronicles and below it is very difficult to find a group playing for TH.

Treasure Hunter Guide: Level 1-20
It's worth noting that Treasure Hunter is a very difficult class to solo, but there are ways to level it quickly and effectively. Incidentally, this class is chosen specifically for PvP, not PvE. Regarding gear and development, unfortunately, it doesn't offer the same advantages for quickly farming Adena as some other characters. The only real advantage of this profession is opening chests and finding Enchantment Scrolls. In any case, you'll need to be patient or have some money, as the process is labor-intensive, and with the starting bonus, you'll make things easier. Otherwise, be prepared for a hardcore challenge.
If we start on a low-rate server, we recommend that you immediately download a full buff for further comfortable play. You will need Prophet, Shilien Elder, Bladedancer, Swordsinger, Warlock. Simplified version - Warcryer + Bladedancer or Prophet + Bladedancer (another variation of Prophet + Swordsinger) this will be enough for a comfortable game, you can buy a can for running in a store or for
Ancient Adena The long-nosed priest has attack speed and run speed level 2 banks.
It is worth considering another unusual strategy for the future. You can level up through abilities, for example
Backstab, this is a rather unusual method, but extremely effective. For this method on a low-rate server you will definitely need a party Shilien Elder to fill MP. The point is that you need to swing on half-monsters with 1/2 HP and not aggro. Approach from behind, use the skill on the monster
Backstab, this way the monster dies with one hit, and you get an extra EXP for killing the monster with an overhit. It all depends on the buff, with a good buff you can pump it this way on regular monsters with HP X1.
The first thing you need to do is try to join the academy, for this you will receive a reward in the form of adena, which will greatly help you at the start in buying equipment. Join the academy with all twinks at once. However, if you start on a new server, then you will not have a chance to join the academy, because there simply will not be clans with academies on the server yet.
In the starting location (the area around the starting village), level up to level 6, then be sure to complete the quest for free nipples for people - The Guard is Busy. At level 9, you must complete the quest for No-Grade weapons and nipples - Sword of Solidarity. You can level up to level 20 very quickly in the locations of the starting village. For this, we have prepared a chain with the most useful quests in the village of people from level 1 to 21, you can see all the quests by this link.
If you have a starting donation or enough adena, skip the quests and just go farm EXP. The best locations in the vicinity of Talking Island Village:
- Obelisk of Victory — monsters lvl 8-13
- Elven Ruins — inside the ruins there are monsters of lvl 10-20
In principle, this is quite enough to pump up to level 20, then you need to start performing the first profession. Full description of the quest with pictures to get the first profession Roque - In this article. You can start completing the quest from level 19.
Treasure Hunter Guide: Level 20-40
So, we got our first profession - Rock. We definitely learn new skills, first of all we learn passive skills:
Dagger Mastery - Increases physical attack when using a dagger.
Light Armor Mastery - Increases Physical Defense and Evasion when wearing light armor.
Critical Power - Increases critical attack power.
Then we teach active skills:
Mortal Blow — A potentially lethal attack. This skill requires a dagger to be equipped.
Dash — Significantly increases movement speed for 15 seconds.
Unlock — Opens doors of difficulty level 1 with a 30% chance of success. Requires 2
Thief Key (Can be purchased in the store). It also opens chests—that's the real deal, as chests are a great way to get a lot of modification scrolls and get rich.
Please note! You can progress through two paths before reaching your second profession. The first is the Daggermaster (melee attack), the second is the Archer (ranged attack). In both cases, passive and active skills allow you to progress equally. Many prefer the Archer path until level 40 because it speeds up the leveling process, but this is a purely personal choice. If you decide to take the Archer path until level 40, study the passive and active skills for the bow. We will be describing the Daggermaster path (melee).
D-Grade Equipment:
Mithril Dagger (P Atk: 80) or any available dagger.
Manticore Set or any other available set (must be Light).
Elven Jewelry or any available jewelry.
The best locations for leveling 20-30:

We recommend leveling up to level 40 immediately and, if possible, equipping C-Grade gear to complete the second profession quest for three marks at once. A detailed description of the second profession quest, Treasure Hunter, for three marks at once, is in this article.
Treasure Hunter Guide: Level 40-52
So, we now have a second profession—Treasure Hunter. With this second profession, you need to learn and master new skills.
What needs to be taught first:
Backstab - An attack from behind that inflicts a mortal wound. Used with a dagger. A critical hit is possible. A fatal blow is possible. Be sure to use this skill in the enemy's back.
Deadly Blow — a potentially fatal attack. Used with daggers. Critical hit possible. This skill can be used from any direction: front, back, side—it doesn't matter.
We continue to study all the passives on dagger, crit chance and crit power. We need them first of all for effective farming of monsters.
It's time to talk about paints, we will offer two options. The first option is for PvE:
- +4
STR — 4
CON - +4
DEX — 4
CON - +1
DEX — 1
CON
As you can see, the HP mode is completely on and we go into crit and physical damage.
Second PvP option:
- +4
CON — 4
STR - +4
DEX — 4
CON - +1
DEX — 1
CON
This option should be used strictly for PvP style of play or at the Olympics.
Bonus option (universal):
- +4
DEX — 4
CON
One light tattoo, doesn't really cut anything, but will add a little attack speed, crit and movement speed.
Equipment for TH 40-52 level:
Plated Leather Set — Bonus +4 Str, -1 Con. Worth using if you plan to continue farming with physical attacks.
Theca Leather Light Armor Set — Bonus P. Def +5.26%. An alternative option for all cases, easily obtained.
Dark Screamer [Focus] — (SA effect — increases critical attack chance by 81), P Atk: 122 Atk Spd: 433. An easily accessible option for farming monsters.
Crystal Dagger [Mortal Strike] — (the effect of SA — increases the probability of success
Mortal Blow and
Deadly Blow at 44%), P.Atk: 136, Atk Spd: 433. An excellent option for pvp, however not all servers have or support this SA.
Crystal Dagger [Critical Damage] — (SA effect - increases physical attack by 140 units during a critical attack), P.Atk: 136, Atk Spd: 433. An easily accessible option for farming monsters. Dagger can be obtained through an update
Dark Screamer for
Ancient Adena from Blacksmith of Mammon.
Any C-Grade jewelry.
The best locations for leveling up 40-52 lvl monsters X2-X4:

- Outlaw Forest (teleport from Town of Oren) - monsters 50+ lvl, a very bright and famous place with a number of chests from 45 to 50+ levels, a real gold mine for TH.
In fact, TH has no other way to develop in our opinion, except to hunt for chests. TH has the ability to create keys itself
Summon Treasure Key - creates 2-3
Deluxe Chest Key appropriate skill level, requires 2 to use
Thief Key. The skill is available from level 46. Many play the dagger profession precisely because they enjoy opening chests; it's a kind of toy casino that's exciting but safe. As we mentioned above, chests can be opened using the skill.
unlock.
Treasure Hunter Guide: Level 52-61
At this level, B-Grade is already available, it is advisable to keep up with the level development. New skills have not been added, but there is
Trick - Disables the enemy's attack and removes the target's status. This skill requires a dagger weapon to be equipped.
Switch — Confuses the enemy, forcing them to change their attack target. The target's state is removed. This skill requires a dagger weapon to be equipped.
From now on, you can demonstrate your skills and abilities in PvP. These abilities play a key role in battles for the Treasure Hunter. This class may not be particularly popular in large-scale battles, but in solo PvP, it's a true beast. Manual dexterity is key; assign your skills to the skill bar so you can use them most comfortably with your fingers, without a mouse.
Trick/Switch are skills that work in tandem; it's best to use them one after the other to increase the chance of canceling an enemy's target; you can even use a macro. At level 52, with good gear, Treasure Hunter's potential begins to unfold—mobility, speed, and critical strikes—making her a formidable opponent in both PvP and PvE.
Equipment for TH 52-61 level:
Kris [Focus] — (SA effect — increases critical attack chance by 71), P Atk: 153 Atk Spd: 433. An easily accessible B-Grade option for farming monsters.
Demon Dagger [Mortal Strike] — (the effect of SA — increases the probability of success
Mortal Blow и
Deadly Blow by 40%), P.Atk: 170, Atk Spd: 433. An excellent option for pvp, however not all servers have or support this SA.
Demon Dagger [Critical Damage] — (SA effect - increases physical attack by 160 units during a critical attack), P.Atk: 170, Atk Spd: 433. A good option for farming monsters, but the dagger itself is hard to get.
Doom Light Armor Set — Set bonus: +3 Dexterity, -2 Con, -1 Str, Increased underwater breathing, +2.7% P.Atk, +2.5% MP regeneration rate, +20% poison resistance. An ideal and versatile set for any dagger user.
Blue Wolf Light Armor Set — Bonus: +3 Men, -2 Int, -1 Wit, +5.24% P.Def, +15% Cast Speed. A good set for defense against mages and warriors, but not suitable for farming.
Black Ore Jewelry or any other bijou C/B-Grade.
You can also continue farming in
Plated Leather Set or
Theca Leather Light Armor Set with a C-Grade dagger, if the buff allows it, up to and including level 61.

- Tower of Insolence (first floors, teleport from Town of Aden) - monsters 60+, x3 HP
The best locations for leveling up 52-61 lvl monsters X1:

- The Cemetery (teleport Seal of Shilen from Town of Aden) - monsters lvl 50+.
- Forsaken Plains (teleport from Town of Aden) - monsters lvl 54+.
- Fields of Massacre (teleport from Town of Aden) - monsters 56-60+ lvl.
Choose a place to level up depending on your equipment and buff. Under good conditions, the most effective leveling will be in the catacombs or on any other monsters with X2-X4 HP.
Treasure Hunter Guide: Level 61-76
A-Grade equipment opens from level 61. Nothing has changed in terms of skills, one new active skill has appeared
Critical Blow — After using this skill, you gain a 15-second buff that increases your chance of landing a deadly attack on your enemies. Mortal Strike is possible. This skill requires a dagger equipped. Be sure to use this skill in PvP, and be sure to place it on your skill bar next to your primary active skills.
At this level, many new locations for farming open up, this will help us diversify the grayness of the past experience in quality. Do not forget that with each level you become stronger in terms of PvP, so actively look for fun, try to go to top locations and fight for spots.
Equipment for TH 61-76 level:
Nightmarish Leather Light Armor Set — Set bonus: +4% M. Def, +1 DEX, -1 CON, +3% lifesteal, -70% chance of getting sleep and root. An excellent set for PvP, especially against mages.
Dark Crystal Light Armor Set Set bonus: +4% Atk. Speed, +4% P. Atk., +1 STR, -1 CON, 50% chance to get paralyzed. The best set for farming mobs, as Treasure Hunter has no passive abilities for heavy armor, so we simply have no choice.
Bloody Orchid [Focus] — (SA effect — increases critical attack chance by 67), P Atk: 186 Atk Spd: 433. An easily accessible A-Grade dagger option for farming monsters.
Bloody Orchid [Back Blow] — (SA effect — increases the chance of a critical attack from behind by 37%), P Atk: 186 Atk Spd: 433. An excellent option for pvp, however not all servers have or support this SA.
Soul Separator [Critical Damage] — (SA effect - increases physical attack by 200 units during a critical attack), P.Atk: 203, Atk Spd: 433. Great option for farming, but it's not that easy to get this dagger.
Naga Storm [Back Blow] — (SA effect — increases the chance of a critical attack from behind by 37%), P Atk: 220 Atk Spd: 433. The hardest to get dagger in the game. A great option for pvp, but not all servers have this SA.
Majestic Jewelry or any B/A-Grade jewelry.
Depending on the buff and availability of funds, you can continue farming in the same way in the B-Grade set, for example
Doom Light Armor Set.

Backstab, We wrote about this method at the beginning of the article.
Avoid locations with group monsters and those with a lot of stuns and debuffs, you will not get pleasure from such pumping, and even more so profit. In no case do not forget about chests, look for locations in which there are at least some number of chests.
Once you reach level 76, begin the quest to obtain your third profession. A complete guide with pictures for obtaining the third profession for TH (Adventurer) can be found in this article.
Treasure Hunter Guide: Level 76-80
At this level, you unlock the ability to wear the most powerful S-Grade equipment. Let's say you've reached your third job and are now an Adventurer. At level 76, you'll gain a new active skill, arguably your most powerful combat skill.
Lethal Blow — a potentially fatal attack. Deals an additional 5773 damage. Requires a dagger. Possible overblow, possible semi-fatal blow. This means that with an overblow, you can leave the enemy with 1 HP or CP, with a semi-fatal blow, you can leave half of the enemy's HP or CP, and with a fatal blow, you can leave the enemy with both 1 HP and 1 CP!
At level 77, an active skill appears
Bluff — tricks the enemy into turning their back on you. Disables the enemy's attack, causing them to lose their target. Stuns the enemy for 1-9 seconds. Requires a dagger. So, let's explain. This skill has three effects: the first is turning the enemy's back on you, the second is removing the target, and the third is stunning.
It may be that all three effects are applied simultaneously, but it may be that none of them are applied or some effects are random. For example, only a stun may be applied, or a stun and a back turn. This attack is considered mental. Increase the chance of protection from
Bluff you can with a buff
Mental Shield and an increased MEN parameter.
At level 78, two very important active self-buffs appear:
Focus Chance — Increases the chance of skill activation at the expense of critical strike chance. Available when equipped with daggers.
Focus Power — Increases skill power at the expense of critical strike chance. Available when equipped with daggers.
The effect will only come from one buff, you can't use both at the same time. Which one should you choose? They are both very individual, I personally use
Focus Power, it increases the power of abilities, which in turn increases their damage, very important in PvP.
At level 79, the most important active skill appears
The Mirage, — Cancels the target of all enemies attacking you, regardless of the attack type. These can be mages, archers, melee, etc. The enemy's target is also removed with each of your attacks. The target reset chance is 80%; this skill is a mental attack. We've written a separate article about this skill. If you're interested in how it works or how to defend against it, you can read the article here. this link.
Equipment for TH 76-80 level:
Dragon Leather Armor Set — Set bonus: +1 Dexterity, +1 Str, -2 Con, +4% P. Atk, +4% P. Aspd, +289 MP, +5759 carry weight. There really aren't any other options; this is the #1 set for TH in every possible situation.
Angel Slayer [Haste] — (SA effect — increases attack speed by 7%), P Atk: 246 Atk Spd: 433. There are no other options among S-Grade weapons, you should pay attention to SA. I think that you can't find a better SA for TH, because attack speed affects the skill cooldown, which is very important in PvP. Attack speed is also very important when farming monsters.
Ring of Queen Ant (B-grade) – Gives a bonus: MP +21, increases resistance to Poison by 60%, increases resistance to Hold by 40%, increases accuracy by +2, increases critical physical attack power by 15%. If the character wears two rings, the effect of only one ring will be applied.
Zaken's Earring (S-grade) – gives a bonus: MP +31, increases resistance to Bleed/Stun/Silence by 60%, increases the amount of health restored during treatment by 10%, gives the effect of Vampiric Rage – 4%. If the character wears two earrings, the effect of only one earring will be applied.
Ring of Baium (S-grade) – Gives a bonus: MP +21, increases resistance to Poison by 80%, increases resistance to Hold by 60%, increases accuracy by +2, increases physical attack speed by 4%, increases magic attack speed by 4%, increases critical physical attack power by 15%. If the character wears two rings, the effect of only one ring will be applied.
Earring of Antharas (S-grade) – gives a bonus: MP +31, increases resistance to Bleed by 80%, increases resistance to Stun/Silence by 60%, increases defense against earth attacks by 15%, increases the amount of health restored during treatment by 10%, gives the effect of Vampiric Rage +6%, reduces MP consumption of skills by 5%. If the character wears two earrings, the effect of only one earring will be applied.
Frintezza's Necklace (A-grade) – provides a bonus: increases resistance to Sleep/Paralyze/Stun by 30%, increases resistance to Bleed/Poison by 50%, reduces the delay of reusing spells by 10%, returns 10% of received physical damage back to the enemy, increases resistance to dark magic by 12%.
Of course, this is the most ideal and powerful equipment option, but you can also get by with the classic one
Tateossian Jewelry set.
The best locations for leveling 76-80:
- Hot Springs (teleport from Town of Goddart) - 73+ lvl, lives x2.
- Varka Silenos Outpost (teleport from Town of Goddart) - 76+ lvl, lives x2.
- Ketra Orc Outpost (teleport from Town of Goddart) - 76+ lvl, lives x2.
Unfortunately, there is nothing much to add here, because solo leveling at this level becomes unbearable. You will probably have to find a party or buy a leveling, or the option we described above. It will be long and tedious, but free, with fun and hardcore.
Treasure Hunter Guide: Farming and Leveling Buff
I would like to say a few words about what is worth buffing and what is not worth buffing. For regular mob farming with a dagger, you need to buff all available and possible buffs for attack, attack speed, crit chance, etc. that only exist. I will give an example of a full buff, as it should ideally be for farming.

As you can see in the screenshot, all the buffs that can enhance a character's physical attack in one way or another are present here. If you want to understand them better or don't know the exact stats of all the buffs, we've written a separate article for that. All buffs in Lineage 2 and their stats— read here.
Treasure Hunter TH Guide: PvP Buff
Here the picture is exactly the opposite. Perhaps someone did not know, but the TH attack power, crit chance, etc. do not affect the power of skills in PvP. Therefore, in this case, we remove all sorts of buffs on attack, crits, etc., except for buffs to crit power. I will give an example of a full buff, as it should ideally be for PvP and fun.

As you can see, this screenshot lacks all attack enhancing buffs except
Berserker Spirit и
Chant of Victory. We don't need these buffs for attack, but for other increasing characteristics, we can't not buff them. Also note that there are no buffs like
Focus
Greater Might,
Song of Hunter,
Dance of the Warrior. We don't need them and they don't affect our abilities in PvP, they just take up extra buff slots. Instead, we buffed a lot of resistances, which I recommend to everyone.
Of course, buffs should be based on strategy and specific situations. Against archers, you can even equip a shield and buff a bunch of defense and shield evasion buffs. Some mages require different resistances than others. Always act situationally and carefully; in our beloved game, a buff is just as decisive as sleight of hand.

Treasure Hunter Guide: PvP Tips
TH rarely participates in massive PvP battles, but it does happen. The most promising and priority task of any dagger user is to quickly eliminate healers (Bishes, buffers, etc.). You need to be fully prepared for such events, so stock up on all kinds of potions and scrolls, and most importantly, plenty of them.
Greater CP Potion, as much as will fit in the bag.
As already mentioned, there is no alternative and the best set is
Draconic Leather Armor Set, +6 sharpening is desirable, so you will get additional bonuses from the set (increased dodge and defense). As for
Angel Slayer [Haste], then there is no point in sharpening it for PvP, because as we wrote earlier, the strength of a physical attack does not affect the strength of TH skills.
How to act in PvP? You should always enter the dark under active skills
Mirage,
Focus Power и
Dash. Also, depending on the amount of MP and the presence of MP recovery cans or the presence of EE/SE in the party, enable passive skills
Focus Skill Mastery,
Vicious Stance. These skills greatly increase your Physical Crit power, but constantly drain your MP when activated.
First of all, look for weak targets, your task is to kill buffers and healers. First of all in PvP after all buffs, directly in combat use skills
Trick,
Switch.
Note that Switch has a larger range, so use it first. They will reset the target to the enemy and confuse them in addition to your active skill.
Look. Use these skills always when ready. Now about attack skills, first of all use
Critical Blow to get the bonus buff, then
Bluff,
Lethal Blow,
Deadly Blow. If Bluff hits an enemy, then in 90% of cases he is already a corpse, because abilities in a stun state hit harder. Skill
Backstab should only be used if the target has their back turned to you. This skill ignores 50% of the enemy's defense if their back is turned.
If there are Lucari/Destroyers/Tanks and other physical warriors among the opponents, be sure to use the active buff skill
Ultimate Evasion - significantly increases evasion and chance to avoid being hit for 30 seconds.
Essentially, everything revolves around these skills. Trick > Switch > Bluff—the foundation of any dagger. Then there are three abilities: Critical Blow, Lethal Blow, and Deadly Blow (it's worth mentioning that completing these abilities doesn't affect which side the enemy is facing).
Treasure Hunter Guide: Skill Sharpening
When your character reaches level 76, gets the 3rd profession and gets the book
Secret Book of Giants (Giant's Code), he gets the opportunity to improve his skills. However, not all skills can be improved. Skills can be developed in two different ways, and the player himself chooses which direction to move in. In addition, it is possible to improve several skills at the same time.
You can sharpen your skills in Town of Aden ➡ Warrior Guild ➡ Master Aiken or Hunters Village ➡ Warrior Guild ➡ Master Aren Athebaldt.
The following skills are available for sharpening for TH (Treasure Hunter) on the Interlude chronicles:
Backstab — Power/Cost (increases skill power/decreases skill MP consumption).
lure — Cost (reduces MP consumption for the skill, and also reduces the ability's cooldown time).
Bleed — Cost (reduces MP consumption for skill).
Ultimate Evasion — Time/Recovery (increases duration of effect/decreases reuse time).
Accuracy — Cost (maximizes the skill's effectiveness and also reduces MP consumption).
Deadly Blow — Power/Cost (maximizes skill power/decreases skill MP consumption).
Vicious Stance — Power/Cost (maximizes skill power/decreases skill MP consumption).
Critical Blow — Power/Cost (maximizes skill power/decreases skill MP consumption).
Stealth — Cost/Time (maximizes the skill's effectiveness, and also reduces MP consumption/increases the duration of the effect).
Sand Bomb — Cost/Chance (maximizes the effectiveness of the skill, and also reduces MP consumption/increases the chance of successful use of the skill).
What of this is worth sharpening? For general characteristics and capabilities, everything can be sharpened, but we will consider what needs to be sharpened first and for what:
Backstab — Power (increases skill power)
Ultimate Evasion — Recovery (reducing the time for reuse).
Deadly Blow — Power (maximizes skill power).
Vicious Stance — Power (maximizes skill power).
Critical Blow — Power/Cost (maximizes skill power).
Sand Bomb — Opportunity (increases the chance of successfully using a skill).
All other skills can essentially not be sharpened, a senseless waste of experience and books. Combat skills should be learned first, they will give us a noticeable advantage in PvP. As for farming monsters, TH does not have skills that somehow affect this.
Treasure Hunter Guide: Conclusion
Treasure Hunter is a truly dangerous and dynamic class that reveals its full potential at level 76+. Fast movement, powerful crits, evasion and cunning skills make it a deadly opponent in PvP.
But playing TH is an art that requires proper positioning, thoughtful choice of equipment and precise backstabbing. In the right hands, this dagger wielder is capable of destroying enemies in a matter of seconds and dominating the battlefield.
