Siege of the Tower of Insolence

The only place in Aden where heaven and hell clashed in open war was the Tower of Insolence, which became a battlefield for angels and demons over the prisoner at its summit.

Source According to in-game dialogues: researcher Euclie (30950) - invasion of Death Lord Hallate with Golkonda and Kernon, destroyed force field, war between the Platinum Tribe and demons in the Tower of Insolence.

The Tower of Insolence isn't just the tallest structure in Aden. It's the only place in the world where heaven and hell clash in open war, tearing each other apart floor after floor. Angels against demons, mercilessly and without end. And all because of one prisoner at the top and the one secret he holds in his insane head.

What's on top

To understand this war, you have to remember who is locked up on the top floor. There, in an eternal prison, languishes Baium — the emperor who wrested immortality from the gods and was driven mad by it. And with it, his secret is locked away: the mystery of eternal life, the treasures of a vanished empire, the secrets of the "seal."

Here is a prize worth dying for, even for an immortal. A secret that drives mad not only the one who possesses it, but also everyone who hears of it. And so it is not only the ambitious mortals who strive for the tower's summit—the very forces of light and darkness strive for it.

Guardian Angels

The angels were the first to stand at the tower. Stern Platinum Tribe - a winged army of light, from the same army that holy flame of Anakim, — took the tower under guard and protected it with a powerful force field.

Their task is simple and terrible: to prevent what is locked up above from coming out, and to prevent anyone from getting near it. Angels света Knowing neither pity nor fatigue, they guarded the tower as one guards the locked door to hell itself. For a long time, the force field held, and the secret of Baium slept behind the wall of angelic wings. Until one appeared whom even angels cannot command.

Death Lord Hallate

From the darkness arose a demon, whose very name is a sentence: Death Lord HallateAnd he led a whole legion to the tower.

"This fearless demon, at the head of a legion of his minions, invaded the Tower of Insolence. Among his retinue are the Longhorn General Golkonda and the fearsome Kernon, but the Deathlord Hallate himself is the most terrifying of all. He is capable of slaying six angels at once! Truly, he is the embodiment of evil."

Researcher Euclie

Six angels at once, with one hand. That's what the Platinum Tribe couldn't stop. Behind Hallate came his military leaders—General Dolgorog. Golkonda and fierce Kernon, - and all three carried infernium scepters, a weapon from the underworld itself. Against such a thing, the angels' force field proved to be nothing more than a glass wall.

Broken Seal

And Hallate did what no one else had ever done: he broke through the fence of heaven.

"It was Hallate who destroyed the force field protecting the tower. Ironically, it was this that opened the way for you—so it seems we owe him something. Regardless, the Hallate legion's skirmishes with the Platinum Tribe and the angels guarding the tower turned the entire tower into a battlefield."

Researcher Euclie

With a single blow, the demon toppled what angels had held for centuries. And then—fate's cruel twist: by breaking the angelic seal, Hallate involuntarily opened the tower to mortals as well. Where no man had ever set foot before, profit-seekers poured in—straight into the thick of the war between heaven and hell. The demon, unwittingly, bestowed a generous gift upon the hunters of Baium's secret: an open door to hell.

The field of eternal battle

Since then, the Tower of Insolence has been neither a temple nor a dungeon, but a continuous battlefield from bottom to top.

Hallate's headquarters are entrenched on the third floor; above and below, on every tier, the angels of the Platinum Tribe clash with the demons of the Legion—and the slaughter never ceases. Infernium scepters against angelic blades, wings of light against wings of darkness. And between these two armies, trying not to be caught by either, mortals creep upward—always after the same summit, the same maddening secret. Three forces, three thirsts, one tower—and a common, insatiable goal at the very top.

Audacity turned to stone

This is the whole truth about the Tower of Insolence. It was erected by one mortal who dared to ascend to the gods—and for this insolence, he was cursed with eternal life within its walls. But his insolence did not remain with him alone. It seemed to permeate the very stone of the tower and drew the entire world to it: the angels who guard the forbidden, the demons who strive to steal it, and the humans who crawl between them for what would be best left untouched.

Baium wanted to touch the heavens, but instead built a place where heaven and hell eternally gnaw each other to the death. And every new daredevil who crosses the tower's threshold repeats the emperor's ancient mistake: he's certain he, of all people, will climb to the very top, take the forbidden gift, and leave in one piece. The Tower of Insolence stands and waits. It has seen such people. It has accepted them all.
