Fishing in Lineage 2 is a fun activity that allows players to catch fish while receiving various rewards.

Fishing in Lineage 2: Fishing Skills

 

 Fishing: The main fishing skill is active. With it, you cast your fishing rod into the water or pull it back if you don't get a bite. The skill is only available at level one and doesn't affect anything else except when you start and end the fishing process.

 

 Fishing Expertise: passive skill, maximum level - 27. The level of this skill determines what kind of fish we will catch, namely its color.
At low levels, the most common fish are green, and their loot is usually of low quality. The most valuable fish are white and black, and they are found at levels 21 to 27, and they have the best drops.

 

 Reeling: active skill, maximum level - 27. The strength of the strike on the fish depends on the skill level, you need to hit while the strip is moving.

 

 Pumping: active skill, maximum level - 27. The strength of the strike on the fish depends on the skill level, you need to hit when the strip is not moving.

 

Important! If the level  Fishing Expertise is lower than the level of active hits by three or more, then for each level you will receive a penalty. And the greater the difference, the greater the penalty.

Fishing rod nipple quest

 

We need this quest to get fish nipples, and it's called “Quest for Fishing Shots”. As part of the quest, you need to kill mobs that drop items Sweet Fluid, which can then be exchanged for fish nipples. With nipples, fishing in Lineage 2 will be much faster and more comfortable. The number and chance of dropping these items depend on the level of mobs and server settings, but most often everything is very small. It can also be used to find out in detail in which locations and from which mobs quest items fall.

 

 

Fishing in Lineage 2: the process of catching

 

It is necessary to buy a fishing rod of a grade that corresponds to our level and bait. We also study fishing skills. For starters, this will be enough for us Fishing 1 lvl, Fishing Expertise 1 lvl, Reeling и  Pumping 5 lvl. We go to the water (it is convenient to catch in Giran from the bridge), skills and nipples are placed on the skill panel under the fingers, so as not to get confused. Nipples are used in the same way as combat ones, just hold them down on the panel.

 

 

Please note that there is also gear and a gun on the panel, because in addition to fish, you can also catch a monster from the water that you will need to kill. The drop from it is stupid, but it significantly interferes with fishing. Before casting the rod, do not forget to put it on and bait! Cast the rod with the skill  Fishing. A window with a float should appear, and after a bite, the time and a blue stripe. The stripe indicates the life of the fish, and the time indicates the remaining seconds for fishing.

IMPORTANT! If there is an opportunity to get a buff, then definitely do it, such buffs as haste и Berserker Spirit will increase the speed of skill cooldown (recharge).

 

 

The fish may not start biting right away, try recasting the rod or changing the location a few steps to the right or left. When the fish bites, we start using our active skills Reeling и  Pumping. For convenience of fishing we have moved them to the panel on the F2 and F3 buttons. On some servers the nipples are not automatic, but you have to press them manually after each use of the skill.

 

So, when the blue stripe moves, click on Reeling, if you stopped, then on  Pumping. The bar moves very deceptively, you need to be careful, if we hit it right, it decreases, if we miss, it increases. The problem is that skills have a rollback, so we warned earlier that it is better to buff to reduce this rollback. When our bar decreases to the end, the fish will be caught. Congratulations!
