Among the gloomy valleys, where the fog never clears even at midday, dwell the Vale Masters—demons born of the same curse that blighted these valleys after ancient wars. They guard their domain with grim tenacity, and anyone who dares disturb their peace instantly becomes the target of a furious attack. These creatures are tireless and merciless, pursuing their prey to the very edges of their dark domains.
Unlike other creatures of darkness, Vale Masters remain bound to the land they guard: their remains often yield Stem and life-giving Greater Herb of Life, and dull Iron Ore lodged in their clawed paws. These trophies lure hunters deep into the dangerous lowlands, but only the bravest return to tell of the valley's masters' burning eyes.
