Among the abandoned Imperial Tomb crypts near Goddard, stragglers roam the Ustralites—massive insects whose voracity has become a byword within these vaults. Aggressive and tireless, they show no mercy to intruders, lashing out from the shadows with the snap of their powerful mandibles. An Ustralite's carapace reliably withstands a blade's blow, and only crushing force can reduce it to fragments.
The remains of the fallen predator contain Metallic Fiber, scraps of Thread, and chunks of Mithril Ore—prey the insect dragged from the imperial halls to its nest. These finds are valuable to those who undertake the Relics of the Old Empire quest, as even the Ustralites' trash holds a piece of the fallen empire's history.
