Ustralith
Lurking in the deepest chambers of the Imperial Tomb are the Ustraliths—predatory insects of monstrous proportions that have found refuge in the crypts of fallen Elmoreden. Unlike the peaceful scarabs, these creatures are greedy and vicious: they pounce on any prey at the mere sound of their footsteps in the echoing darkness of the dungeon. Their chitin-clad bodies disdain the slashing power of steel, and only a heavy, crushing blow can break this unnatural fortification.
Torn Ustralite drops rough Thread, chunks of Mithril Ore, and sometimes Mithril Arrow—all that the predator has plundered from the ravaged tombs into its lair. For these meager but valuable trophies, seekers engage in combat, fulfilling the Relics of the Old Empire quest amidst the tomb's eternal darkness.
