Torfe
In the damp lowlands and marshy groves that line the elven domains, a hulking beast named Torfe roams, its thick hide coated in moss and silt, as if the earth itself had assumed the form of a living creature. This creature is peaceful and does not attack first, preferring to slowly graze on damp grass and dig in humus. However, its hulking frame conceals remarkable strength, and a heavy, crushing blow pierces its bones more easily than a sharp sword blade.
Hunters who dare to venture into these lands prize Torfe for its strong sinew—the sturdy Thread that can be spun from its tendons—as well as for the healing potions that grow within its sap-soaked flesh: the Greater Herb of Life and the Greater Herb of Mana, which grant strength to weary travelers. Killing such a beast is not easy, but the prize is worth it, and more than one traveler has returned from the swamps thanking the slow-moving giant for its generous gift.
