Stone giants roam among the boulders and rocky wastelands—creatures of earthly magic that have acquired a crude semblance of life and slowly wander their eternal paths. Clumsy and sullen, they do not disturb travelers first, only springing into action when someone encroaches on their peace or blocks their path.
The bodies of these giants are composed of stone, and therefore heavy, crushing weapons crush them more surely than any blade, splitting their stone flesh. A fallen giant sheds charcoal mixed with healing herbs of life and mana—as if from the very earth that birthed them, a humble gift flows forth to the one who slew the monster.
