Ruin zombies roam old graveyards and desecrated crypts—slow-moving corpses raised from their graves by a dark will. While they are sluggish and do not attack travelers who keep their distance, their rotting flesh shudders and crumbles under the touch of a sacred power (Sacred), which no undead can withstand.
The decayed clothing of these corpses contains Varnish and pieces of Coal, and sometimes even the withered remains needed by the Grim Collector. Young acolytes following the Path to a Cleric also come here, for the repose of these unfortunate souls is the first test of a future priest's faith.
