Walkthrough

Talk to Trader Mion

В Village of gnomes find a merchant Mion. Level required 15+Agree to harvest spider silk.

Exterminate the tarantula

Around the Gnome Village, kill the tarantulas and collect their loot:
• Tarantula Spider Silk (frequent) - with Crimson Tarantula (level 15), Tarantula Hunter (level 16) and Plunder Tarantula (level 17);
• Tarantula Spinnerette (rare, ~4%) - from the same spiders.

Give the silk to Mion, the iron to Nathan

Sell Tarantula Spider Silk merchant Mion (30 adena per piece, +2000 for a batch of 10+). Rare Tarantula Spinnerette take it to the defender Nathan — He'll exchange each for 15-23 silks, which you can also sell to Mion. The quest is repeatable.

Tarantula SpinneretteRare iron (~4%). Mion won't take it on its own—take it to Defender Nathan, and he'll trade each one for 15-23 Tarantula Spider Silk (which you can then sell to Mion).
