Prairie Keltir

Steppe Kelthyr inhabit the grassy expanses of Talking Island, where the sea breeze sways the tall stalks, obscuring their agile bodies. Their light fur blends with the sun-bleached grass, making them difficult to spot until you get close. Like other Kelthyr, they avoid combat and flee, biting only out of desperation, when retreat is impossible.

Their flesh preserves the familiar gifts of the local plains—Greater Herb of Life and Greater Herb of Mana, and occasionally the precious Superior Herb of Life, especially prized by traveling healers. Herds of steppe keltir serve as a faithful support for young adventurers taking their first steps on the island's roads.
