Plando
Plando are the offspring of a humanoid tribe that has chosen the darkness of the underground as its home, turning its back on the sun and the laws of the aboveworld. Their behavior is marked by a savage, almost bestial hostility: once intelligent, they have become feral in the darkness and now see every intruder as nothing more than prey or a threat. Upon seeing a traveler, Plando unhesitatingly launches an attack, defending the hidden passages that have become their only realm.
In the hiding places of these creatures, prospectors find silver nuggets and skeins of thread, and sometimes even metallic thread—either stolen from the caves' previous owners or taken from hapless wanderers. These crumbs of wealth are all that remain of a tribe that traded light for the eternal darkness of the dungeons.
