Reference!
Vicious Stance - a switchable self-buff that increases the damage of physical crits due to the parameter cAtkStatic; when activated, it spends a fixed amount of MP and then every 5 seconds it spends a fraction of it MaxMP (base ~0,4%). The skill has a magic level and can be cancelled; Power sharpening increases the bonus, and Cost reduces MP content.
Vicious Stance Skill – Lineage 2: Description
Vicious Stance — is a toggleable buff on yourself that increases physical crit damage while on and gradually drains MP. The base “maintenance” MP cost is per tick of the effect. In typical builds, this is a percentage of Max MP per tick. – 0.4% of MaxMP every 5 sec.
The strength of the bonus to critical damage (parameter cAtkStatic), by levels 1-20. At level 1 - 35 "units", at level 20 - 609. These are not "raw UI percentages", these are in-game units of the cAtkStatic stat, which stacks with the same sources and modifiers.
One-time cost of MP when the toggle is turned on. The higher the skill level, the higher the starting cost.
The skill has a magic level (needed by the engine to calculate removal/resists, Cancel chances, etc.). It grows with the skill level. YES, this skill can be removed with Cancel.
Vicious Stance Ability: Sharpen
Power enchant path (+crit damage): replaces the #crit table with values for +1…+30 (from 615 to 774) and raises magicLevel. MP costs are not affected.
Cost upgrade path (cheaper in terms of MP): reduces the maintenance cost (from 0.39% to 0.10% MaxMP per tick) and the one-time starting cost (from ~13 to 4), #crit remains the same as the base level (i.e. the strength does not increase).

Vicious Stance Ability: How Does It Work?
How does the skill itself work?
- Type: toggle (switch to itself)
- What it does: Increases physical critical damage through the cAtkStatic stat.
- How to spend MP:
*one-time upon switching on — mpConsume1 (4…14 MP, or less on the Cost path);
*then every 5 sec — #mp % of MaxMP. Base 0.4%/5s, along the way Cost drops to 0.1%/5s at +30. - What does strength depend on: skill level (#crit table) or Power sharpening?
- Stacks: cAtkStatic stacks with other sources of the same type (eg. other skills/passives that also add cAtkStatic).
- Percentage type sources (if there is cAtk/critPower%) are usually multiplied separately - so the total increase depends on the set of buffs/gear.
Reference!
Important: #crit numbers are stat units, not “description percentages”. The exact conversion to the final bonus depends on the chronicles/build (Interlude/HF/Classic, etc.). On most IL/HF builds, cAtkStatic is perceived as units to crit damage. But there are custom builds where the conversion is calculated as a percentage (35 = 35%).
