This winged creature, accustomed to the eternal gloom and dampness of underground caves, nests in the impenetrable darkness of mine tunnels and collapsed shafts. The creature is timid and does not attack, taking flight only when footsteps disturb its peace—then it circles erratically, confusing any unwary visitor.
Born of the musty air of the dungeons, this flying inhabitant of the mines fears the sharp gusts of wind that dispel its familiar darkness and sap its strength. Anyone who defeats it will find healing herbs in its nest—Greater Herb of Life and Greater Herb of Mana—and among the dry debris, one will often find tough plant stems, carried here from the surface.
