Knight of Empire
Beneath the crumbling vaults of the Imperial Tomb near Goddard, another of the countless knights of the Elmoreden Empire wanders, doomed to guard the tomb until the end of time. Death brought him no deliverance—it only transformed him into a vicious guardian, unhesitatingly lashing out at any intruder, seeing them as defilers of sacred peace. Decay has consumed his body, and so nothing terrifies him more than the flames that instantly find their way to the withered bones beneath his rusted chainmail.
Those who slay such a knight find among the ashes coarse Thread and faded Metallic Fiber, and sometimes even a piece of Mithril Ore—the last remnants of imperial wealth. These seemingly insignificant trophies are prized by those who fulfill the Relics of the Old Empire mission, piecing together the memories of the might that once ruled these lands.
