Imperial Royal Guard
In the deepest chambers of the Imperial Tomb near Goddard, an Imperial Royal Guard stands eternal vigil, his afterlife entwined with the dark magic that holds him to the ashes of the Elmoreden lords. He lacks the weakness to fire that destroys the common undead—his unnatural existence is dispelled only by the holy power that turns the curse against him. He does not attack outsiders needlessly, but he meets any who encroach upon the peace of the royal tombs with cold and unyielding fury.
The guardsman's remains yield Metallic Thread, Thread scraps, and a dull Silver Nugget—the last remnants of the imperial chambers' opulence. These finds are valuable to those completing the Relics of the Old Empire quest, piecing together the decaying chronicle of a mighty and long-defunct empire.
