Among the young imps, their elders—the imp elders—stand out, having lived long enough to acquire cunning wiles and a modicum of magical power. These fairies still avoid direct combat and do not attack without provocation, but their weathered flesh still fears sharp gusts of wind, betraying their ancient ethereal nature.
Unlike their younger brethren, elders carry not only the Greater Herb of Life and the Greater Herb of Mana, but also bundles of Wooden Arrows—either taken from hapless archers or hoarded for their own mischief. Experienced hunters treasure encounters with them, for their meager supplies can sometimes yield something useful.
