A creepy, animated tree that grew from the very earth of the Execution Grounds, soaked in the blood of thousands of executed. Once an ordinary oak tree growing near the scaffold, the curse of local necromancers and the energy of dying souls transformed it into a living monster. Instead of foliage, there are dry, bone-like branches that resemble outstretched hands, eager to catch a new victim.
Deep in its wood are the remains of nooses, chains, and skulls - not just decoration, but part of its essence. The Hangman Tree attacks with a predatory approach: it grabs travelers with its branches, wraps them around them, and slowly strangles them, feeding on their life force. Its eyes are scarlet drops of rot, in which the anger and pain of all who have died in these lands burns.
It is believed that Hangman Tree cannot be burned - it absorbs fire like other trees absorb water. And if you hear the creaking of branches and a whisper in the wind - perhaps you are already under its shadow... and not everyone manages to get out of there.
To find it, you need to make a teleport from the city of Town of Dion and move towards the Catacomb of the Heretic, monsters are found at the very beginning of the location, there is no need to climb the stairs, but they also live on the upper floors. The monster is aggressive, passes through the quests Trial of Duty, Testimony of Fate, Test of the Searcher.
