The Dread Soldier is a fallen warrior whose spirit was bound to his armor by evil sorcery in the depths of a cursed underground stronghold. Restless, he eternally maintains a deadly vigil and unhesitatingly attacks any living being who crosses the threshold of his dark abode.
As an undead creature, this warrior is vulnerable to the sacred power of the Sacred, which breaks the spells that hold him. The hero of the quest Curse of the Underground Fortress undertakes to lift the curse from the fortress, and the fallen soldiers yield Varnish, useful for crafting, and the life-giving Greater Herb of Life and Greater Herb of Mana.
