In the labyrinths of the Catacombs, amid the ashes of forgotten eras, soar the Catacomb Liviona—creatures of dark magic that have acquired a semblance of winged flesh in the stale air of the dungeons. These creatures are aggressive and swift, lashing out at intruders with a piercing screech, cleaving the darkness with the ragged flapping of their ghostly wings.
Woven from magic, they tremble before the force of the wind, which disperses their fragile essence, and a skilled mage easily turns this weakness to their advantage. From their remains are harvested fibrous stems and chunks of iron ore, and occasionally a Scroll of Awakening, containing an echo of the ancient spell that gave them life.
