Blade Spider
In the shadowy thickets and abandoned ruins near human settlements, Blade Spiders—large spiders whose legs are as sharp as honed blades—weave their webs. Predatory and impatient, they pounce without hesitation on anyone who disturbs their hunting grounds, and the swiftness of these creatures takes the unwary by surprise. Despite their ferocity, they, like other insects, fear fire, and the flames turn their agility into helpless flailing.
Defeated spiders yield Greater Herb of Life, as well as Animal Skin and Animal Bone, used by artisans. These creatures stand in the way of those following the Path to a Human Knight, and many future knights first tasted true combat against bladed spiders before earning the right to bear the knight's coat of arms.
