Amber Basilisk
Among the damp lowlands and fern-covered paths that stretch along the borders of the dark elves' lands, the Amber Basilisk slowly crawls—a scaly lizard whose amber skin shimmers with honeyed reflections in the sun. This peaceful creature rarely disturbs travelers, preferring to bask on warm stones and hunt small game. However, disturb its peace, and its heavy eyes become a deadly threat.
From its thick hide, artisans extract durable Animal Skin and strong Animal Bone, used for equipment and potions, and the scales sometimes contain the life-giving Greater Herb of Life. Alchemists and seekers of rare ingredients hunt these lizards for The Wishing Potion, as a piece of basilisk flesh is considered an essential ingredient in the miraculous wishing potion.
